Complementary Colors

 * Sweater - Oldnavy * Skirt - The Limited * Pumps - Jessica Simpson via DSW * Bracelets - Gifted *

I believe this is the most color I have ever worn to work.  Not very standard for a Monday but it was dark and gloomy when I woke up so I figure why not bring out my own sunshine.  I was also inspired by Ty of Words and Wardrobes when she posted this remix pic of this same sweater on Instagram.  Make sure you guys follow her blog, she does the best clothing remixes and pattern mixing!

My male co-worker told me yesterday that I wasn't matching *blank stare*, lol okay.  I would actually agree I am not matching but these color compliment each other and I like it.  He also went on to say I should have on different color shoes, like white or black *blank stare* lol okay.  I just love the males perspective on fashion.   I love when we have these fashion discussions in the office, they always give me a good laugh.

Do you guys wear bright colors to the office or do you keep it toned down?  How do you handle other peoples opinions of your style/clothing?

Triple Threat

Happy Friday!  I am blessed to say I woke up feeling refreshed this morning.  However, I am deeply saddened by the tragedy that occurred in Colorado.  Something as simple as enjoying the opening of a movie has been tainted.  That could have easily been anyone one of us sitting there relaxing with family or friends.  My prayers go out to everyone that was involved.

Okay on to today's post.  I decided to do a remix with this fabulous snake print dress I purchased from H&M back in May.  I prefer that my clothes play double duty, work and play.  Sometimes it takes a little effort to make a perfect after hours outfit work appropriate.  Check out how I remixed this dress three times!

First up, my work look! When I purchased this dress I thought it would be perfect for work, of course everything looks great in the dressing room, right?  Fast forward two months later...I popped the tags off lil lady yesterday and put it on.  I immediately noticed too much cleavage and a little too much shoulder showing for my personal comfort.  Easy fix, I added a white cami and one of my favorite thrifted blazers.  You guys know I LOVE my blazers and dresses,  together they are always a perfect pairing for me.

 * Blazer - Thrifted * Tank - Love Culture * Dress - H&M * Sandals - Lauren by Ralph Lauren *

For my date night look I ditched the cami and blazer, pinned my hair to one side, added my long chain earrings and pulled out my red clutch for a pop of color.  I must say that changing my hair and adding the clutch gave the dress a very sophisticated and sassy look.

 * Clutch - Marshalls * Earrings - Charming Charlie * Ring - Forever 21 *

So I was going to stop at two outfits but I figured why not try for a casual look.  Let me just say my BF was totally against this look and said I looked like a thrift store casualty, LOL.  So I told him I would let you guys decide.  I threw on a white v-neck over the dress and knotted the front.  A quick change of my earrings and the addition of flat sandals and this look is perfect for a weekend outing with friends.  So what say you???? Yea on Nay.

I had so much fun doing this, which look was your favorite?

Peplum Problems

* Peplum T-shirt - Forever 21 * Pencil skirt - The Limited * Pumps - Kohls *

I must admit that I have worn this peplum t-shirt three times since this post!  I shall now give it a rest and pull out the royal blue one I also purchased and wear it to death, lol. No but seriously how can you now love anything peplum, and for $12.80 you can rock this trend and not break the bank. I still love my NY&Co. peplum top but I prefer the ease of the t-shirts from Forever21.

It also seems as if I have been on a black and white thing lately, that has been completely unintentional so I decided my coral pumps would be a great way to add a pop of color to this outfit.  Let's see if I can stay away from wearing so much black I mean it is summer time!

What trends are you loving this summer?

Pok-A-Dots

 * Blouse - Forever 21 * Trousers - Zara * Pumps - Vince Caumto * Necklace - Forever 21 *

Hello my name is Shea and I am NOT a morning person! As you can see from these pictures I would have loved to still been in my bed, lol. What makes it even worse is that I am still in vacation mode, but my vacation was officially over yesterday.  I really enjoyed spending time with my family in NC and I am missing them so much.  I took all my blogging stuff with the intentions of doing a few posts but that heat really kept me inside playing with my niece everyday.  Miami is hot but being in 100 degree weather every day was not cute at all.  So I am back and the polka dot obsession continues I figured this little bit of whimsey will keep me in good spirits today.

I won't bombard you with all of the pics I took of my niece Brooklynn but this one is my fave!

And yes she is trying to bite me! lol
