Flower Power

I showed you guys sunset so I had to post today's sunrise...so beautiful

Today is my 100th post!!!!! What better way to celebrate then with a favorite from my closet.

This is another Target original that I purchased back in 2006 and regardless of how many times I wear it I get tons of compliments. I'm not big on floral at all but I love this dress! The wrap style accentuates my waist and gives my boobies a lil extra boost =). This is absolutely a feel good outfit for me. It can always brighten my mood when I am feeling blah...

Golden Opportunity

Short work week, yaay!

I really think I may be addicted to Leopard, every time I add a new leopard item to my closet I think of Olivia from Jerseylicious, but I'm not that bad...yet.

This fun leopard print cardigan is from the little girls section (yes I shop in the little girls section occasionally) at Target. As soon as it caught my eye I knew that I needed it. The pink accents made it stand out to me without being over the top. I was worried it would be to matchy if I paired it with my magenta pumps but it added a pop of color without being too much.

My other standout item is the gold metallic belt I purchased from Red, White and Blue thrift store. It is in perfect condition beside the scratches, which aren't noticeable at first glance. This item will be in heavy rotation =).

I also curled my hair...the jury is still out on this...

Chunky Knits

It's warming up, yaay! We will be back to the 70s by this weekend. To celebrate I decided to pull out one of my favorite sweaters. I love large cowls and super thick knit sweaters, they are so warm and cozy. This particular one is great because the belt defines my waist and don't make the sweater look bulky on me.

Anyone else have Christmas burnout yet? I have a pile of gifts that need to be wrapped and mailed. I still have a few items I need to pick up, that means I have to face the shopping savages at the mall, lol. I also have to pick up things I need for an upcoming trip. Well at least my last day of class was yesterday so I can breathe easy until Jan.

I See Spots

The cold is still taking over South Florida and it's been hard staying creative with my outfits. I must admit that my colder weather dressing skills are not really up to par. I have been doing okay but I am having problems coming up with ideas =(.

However, the best part of the colder weather, I get to wear my patterned tights, scarfs and boots! I have the hardest time finding boots that fit my 17" calves. I found several sites that specialized in wide calf boots but I couldn't see spending all that cash for something I would only wear a few times a year. I fell in love with
these Steve Madden boots and knew they would be perfect, but I wasn't feeling the price. The barginista in me came out and I scoured the internet for a suitable replacement. I found the boots I have on here and also got an additional 20% off! The pictures don't do them justice, they look much better in person. The fit is great and I have room to spare, if I wanted to wear them with my jeans tucked in. Now I need a pair of sexy wide-calf high heeled boots!

I had to share this pic with you guys, the evening sky was so beautiful. I have always loved how the cold weather makes the sky glow after the sun sets. So now you guys know what's on the other side of my balcony.

Greyish

I am not properly dressed today...It was suppose to be in the 60s today however it started raining and the temperature dropped to the 50s. I thought I was really cute with my ankle pants today but I am paying for it now.I have to admit I have always been against ankle length pants. I passed these up once and ended up buying them on Black Friday. I wonder how they would look with some really cute oxfords and a men's tuxedo shirt, belted. I think I just got my next thrifting challenge, lol.

Going Green

I might be a little obsessed with sheath dresses. The styling options are endless and they look great on my curvy physique. I purchased this dress from my local Goodwill superstore this summer. I didn't think it was going to fit me properly because it was a 10 petite. But the thrifting angels were on my side and it fit perfectly!

The dress has a banded hem line, contour seaming, and a crew neckline. I love it and it only cost me $10!

Baby it's cold outside

Yep, it's still cold in Miami and it's suppose to get colder tomorrow! Needless to say my winter wardrobe is put much none existent, but I do have a few pieces that I love. I purchased this sweater from Forever 21 a couple years ago in NYC. There is something about a short-sleeved turtleneck that's intriguing. It pretty much defeats the purpose...but I can get away with it in Miami and not freeze.

I also love textured tights. You can't really tell from the pics but the pair I have on today are polka dots. I can remember growing up in Brooklyn and my mom making wear itchy wool tights, I hated them! But eventually everything comes back in style again.

Oh and I hope you guys like my new pet lizard...

Pretty in Pink part duex

Okay so I complained about it being hot and now its cold! I'm sure most of you wouldn't consider 55 degrees to be that cold at all. I am not conditioned for anything below 60 degrees anymore. I cringe every time my mom tells me how cold it is in NYC. But I do enjoy the cooler weather it allows me to bring out some of my cute winter clothes.

Today is the perfect day for my pink faux leather jacket. Faux leather has become so popular; you can get the same great look without spending all that cash. Let me just say pink is not something I would normal gravitate towards, but I loved all the details of this jacket. I am sucker for anything with ruffles so I had to have it. I completed my look with this great leopard print ombre scarf I got at Target.
