I had a fantastic time last night at the Halloween party! I really loved seeing everyone's creativity. I snapped a few pics with some of my faves. I loved getting dressed up, I wanted to keep my look simple but different. I loved the way everything came out. I had a head piece but I ditched it at the last minute. Is it just me but does is seem like women use Halloween as a reason to come out the house half nekkid? I was kinda shocked at what I saw but it is Miami and anything goes right? lol.

Preppy

I had a crazy busy week, but tonight I'm going to a Halloween party and I can't wait! I am super excited to relax and have a good time. My costume is gonna be so fierce! I haven't dressed up since I was a Transformer back in elementary school! Lol.

Today's outfit was inspired by one of my inspiration pages I keep from my magazines. It's definitely more spring than fall but I don't care feels like spring in Miami. I have been dying to wear this great shirt I found at the Goodwill. I've heard really good things about Brooks Brothers Miracle Shirts and was geeked to get one for $8!

Oh and I'm dressing up as Cleopatra! I decided to incorporate my dress seen here into my costume instead of using what I bought. I think its gonna add the wow factor I'm going for.

Maxed Out

I hardly post my weekend outfits...so here goes! This dress is so beautiful, I was in love as soon as I spotted it. I love maxi dresses and I think if I was any shorter I wouldn't be able to pull it off. This is definitely something you could wear casual or dress up depending on your accessories and hair. Sometimes the quality of clothing from Forever 21 can be questionable but this dress is well made.

It's the shoes! Vol. II

I love my magenta Mary Jane's! They instantly add interest to any outfit. I noticed that my shoes have been kind boring lately. Since I am shopping my closet I decided to pull out something I haven't worn in a while. Chase was barking like crazy when I was taking my pics; I took that as she wanted to be in one. Of course she has the attention span of a flea and didn't wanna cooperate at all, lol.

Higher Learning Vol. II

Today is the start of the second mini-term at my school. My last class was absolutely the most boring course I have taken since I started working on my degree. I usually pre-screen all my professors by using Rate My Professor.com, I should have known better when this particular professor didn't have any reviews. Hopefully this term I will be a little more intrigued. I have also noticed that I rarely wear pants....I love my dress and skirts!

Manic Monday

Shopping my closet is off to a great start. I haven't worn this floral blazer since 2007 because it had a button missing, smh. Well, I pulled it out last night and decided to wear it anyway. I love the colors. Even though I had a super busy work day, I felt good and I looked good. Oh and I added some house plants this weekend, I think that palm looks good in my pics!

T.G.I.F.

I have had a super busy week, a project due and a final. I am so glad I will be able to relax this weekend before my second mini-terms starts. I plan to continue my closet clean out I started last week. I am working on a plan to reconfigure my closet. Until I am able to maximize my space I am placing myself on a shopping restriction, I will only be able to spend $50 every two weeks on clothing and shoes. So no major shopping until Black Friday...and in the mean time I will be creative and make use of all the fabulous stuff I already own! Anyone else ever feel like your closet is caving in on you?

I went to Target last night to get some paper towels and well the rest is history...lol. I think I might be obsessed with the clothing at Target, I purchase something from them at least once a week. I fell in love with the chain detail and the fact that the dress was 30% off made it even better.

Red, White and Blue Jeans

I finally got a pair of clogs! And I love them...once again not wanting to spend a ton of money on a trend; I ordered these babies from Forever21 with a gift card I got for my B-Day. This is my first pair of shoes from Forever21 and I have not complaints, they are comfy and cute. The heel isn't real wood but for $29.99 I wouldn't expect it to be. They have a sling back just like I wanted and I love the camel color. I would have preferred a peep toe, but I'm happy with this.

Fashion Fancy: Rihanna

Ri-Ri (as I like to call her) has soooo many outfits to choose from. But I decided to go with the last 3 years since she kinda came into this bad girl image. She has came a long way from her "Pon the replay" days. Then she was just a cute pop singer, now she is fierce and fashion forward woman. I love how she can be Glamazon one day and the next day be spotting in a t-shirt/high top sneakers and still look just as fierce. I don't care for the red hair....it always makes me feel like its gonna bleed all over the place. Maybe she is trying to grow her hair out and this is a transition style. None the less she is still fab! And I'm loving the head-to-toe camel look.

I had a fantastic weekend doing what I love, SHOPPING! I spent most of the gift cards that I received for my birthday. I spent about 3 hours inside Macy's. They were having a fall spectacular sale with 30-80% off. I found some really great deals! I was trying to stretch my gifts cards to the max! =) I actually walked the entire store which is 4 floors...this was a first for me because I really don't shop at Macy's. I did get an opportunity to see Madonna's Material Girl line which has really cute trendy items for Juniors. Am I the only one that still shops in the juniors sections as well as the woman's?

When I saw this dress I knew I had to have it...I love anything stripped and at 50% off I couldn't pass it up!
