I went thrifting but the stores organization was a mess, everything was just thrown together. I was still able to find a few items.

This is what I wore for my flight to NYC...I figured I would put together a nice fall look. My little cousins teased me about wearing heels on the plane, lol. They should know by now I wear them EVERYWHERE.

I love strips and I need more in my wardrobe. I've had this sweater dress since 2005 and I still love it and it still fits, yes! I was late this morning. Which means I usually grab something that's easy to put together, which always ends up being a dress.
So I took a pic with my furbaby Chase, she insisted today, lol. Maybe I can get her to put on an outfit. She hates clothes so that's definitely going to be a challenge.

I'm preppy chic today. Since my cardigan had rhinestone buttons on it I decided to go all the way. I added my heart shaped faux diamond earrings, and my new cocktail ring I just bought from Forever 21. It's big, gaudy, and sparkly...I love it! I also just realized my nails match the flowers on cardigan! Not a bad outfit for a Monday, lol.
I love these shoes, they are super sexy and sky high...I can only last 8 hours in these suckers, beauty is pain.

This was my potential casual Friday outfit...I wasn't too sure about it so I texted a pic to my friend Drizzy Thursday night...#epicfail, lol. He said it made me look big =( I didn't care because I loved the look and wanted to rock it at work.
Regardless of what Drizzy thought I got up Friday morning and took my outfit pics. I changed my mind at the very last minute after I previewed the pics I took. Maybe it was just my insecurities playing on me and I gave in to them. I changed my clothes at the last minute. Maybe if the strips were horizontal the skirt would look more slimming. Which one is suppose to make you look fat, vertical or horizontal stripes?
I decided to post the pics anyway because not all my outfits are gonna be fabulous and I have my insecurities just like everyone else. What do you ladies think...Yea or Nay?
I just read The Fashionista Next Door and saw her post about her maxi skirt...will any of you ladies be trying this trend?

I had a fabulous Labor Day weekend, my friend Tasha came down from VA. We hung out, shopped and drank lots of wine! It was a nice getaway for her since she is a wife and mom of three. I'm crazy late with this post but I had to cram for a test after she left Monday that I was taking Tuesday evening...smh. I kept it pretty much casual all weekend.

The military trend is in...combat boots, cadet inspired jackets, dresses and coats. So here is my contribution to the cause, lol. These are some of my favorite looks that can fit into everyone's budget. I plan to add a nice blazer to my wardrobe as soon as the weather breaks down here in South Florida. I was also considering getting a pair of combat boots...but then again. I had enough of those when I was in the Navy many years ago, so I might pass on that trend, lol. Are you ladies adding any military inspired trends to your closet?

Calvin Klein via Saks Fifth Off 5th $124
Love Culture $35.00
Happy Monday...I hope everyone is having a safe and fun Labor Day. So I went shopping this weekend looking for birthday dresses. I kinda started out in the lower end stores hoping to find a jewel but no luck. The first few dresses I picked up caught my eye because of the color. The look I am going for is sexy sophistication. The Love Culture dresses would have been cool if I was looking for club wear. But even for that the quality of the clothing wasn't that great. I really liked the halter dress with the jewel center but it wasn't long enough and it was way too big at the top. And I would have to be altered.
The Express dress didn't work out at all the fit was not good at all in the breast area. It was suppose to drape across but I couldn't get it to look like the pic I saw online. The dress was made of a knit material, I was kinda expecting it to be made of heavier material so it would give the dress more structure.
Now the one that I absolutely fell in love with. The Calvin Klein dress, I love it! It fits perfectly...except the top needs to be taken in because I have not boobs, lol. I felt so great in this dress, it didn't bunch up or ride up around my hips when I walked around. The satin was so smooth and it was structured and well made. I think this one is the winner!!!!

Hello...Good Morning! 8 hours until the 3-day weekend. I'm still not sure if my homie is gonna be able to fly out of VA Beach yet. Hopefully she can make it because we have some dress shopping do do! It's casual Friday in my office but I always try not to be too casual. I get weird looks from my staff when they see me in jeans and sneakers on occasions, lol. My outfit is super comfy and I love these shoes! The metallic bronze is so pretty, I got these babies during Black Friday last year. Speaking of Black Friday have you started making your wish list. I know malls down here have started opening at 12am Thanksgiving night!
